The Brass Cannon

I was reading an excerpt from this:

and Professor Sowell referred to Robert Heinlein:

and I was amused by his parable about the man with the job polishing the brass cannon and then going into business for himself. And then I had to check out the video:

which causes me to wonder a few things about geeks.
